Services
I offer a variety of massage modalities, all of which are intended to be relaxing, nurturing, and healing. I use what I learn from your health intake, what I feel with my hands, and any feedback you offer, while I apply my training, experience, and intuitive skills to deliver my best massage every time. There are no hidden charges, I won’t try to sell you anything, and gratuities are not necessary.
Mutual “good fit” Acknowledgement
Not all massage therapists and clients are a good fit for each other. I do not offer full-body deep tissue or full-body hot stone massages. I do not like to cause pain, with the exception of “hurts good” therapeutic pain within my client’s non-guarding tolerance. I strongly discourage unnecessary chatting. Those are examples of why I may not be a good fit for you. I am sensitive to energy, so if our energy doesn’t feel like it flows together, that is an example of why you may not be a good fit for me. Sometimes we don’t know until we’ve had a session or two. Acknowledging if we are or are not a good fit isn’t a criticism; it’s listening to our inner wisdom. It supports a healthy therapeutic relationship.
Modality Options
Swedish Massage is the foundation of most common massages and on it’s own can be amazingly wonderful. It is a combination of 5 different actions: effleurage (long gliding strokes), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (tapping), friction (small, deep circular motions), and vibration (jostling, rocking kinds of motions). I adjust the strength/pressure of these actions based on your comfort and our goals.
As needed or by your request, we may incorporate other modalities, techniques, and tools such as
Myofascial Release (MFR)
Trigger Point Release (including SMRT, which is painless)
Light-Touch Tissue Unwinding
Sports Massage
Gentle Stretching
Cranial Therapy for Migraine, TMJ, Headache, Anxiety, Depression, etc
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)
Energetic therapies (such as Reflexology, Acupressure, Chakra work, Tok-Sen)
Hot or cold stones
Cupping
Adjunct Therapies: Aromatherapy, Light Therapy, & Sound Therapy
