I’m Denise Duncan, LMBT (NC #14151), owner of Seven Paths Massage, located within the Lake Royale gated community.

I fell in love with massage during my very first massage back in 1996, and I knew I would become a massage therapist some day. After a stressful 8-year adventure in the white collar world, I knew it was time to follow my heart. I have never looked back. I have been a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist since 2014.

I became part of the Lake Royale community in the fall of 2024. Part of what attracted me to purchase my adorable little cottage here was a neglected little shack on the back side of the property… a diamond in the rough! I shined her up and added some special touches. And, Spring of 2025, fully equipped and operational, I introduced Seven Paths Massage!

I am semi-retired and unapologetically picky about my clientele. I require referrals, plus our Mutual “good fit” Acknowledgement (explained under Services).

Prior to Lake Royale, I lived in and around Raleigh for more than 50 years. I have spent those prior 11 years working as a massage therapist, both operating a home studio (Goodness Me Massage) while also working in the spa environment (Tanas Hair Designs and Day Spa in North Raleigh and, more recently, at The Spa At Glenaire in Cary).

I love massage, and I can’t imagine ever fully retiring. I’m thrilled to settle down into my semi-retirement years here at Lake Royale and with Seven Paths Massage!

I chose the name, Seven Paths Massage, to honor those who have come before us here. Before Lake Royale, and even before Lake Sagamore, there was a farming community in this area known as Seven Paths. Those roots felt grounding. It just felt right.
